The Manhattan Conspiracy: [Subtitle] From September 1, 1939 to September 2, 1945 the world was at war. Germany rose to power and invaded Poland, later declaring war on France and Great Brittan. Benito Mussolini (fascist dictator of Italy) joined the Axis powers and on December 7th 1941, after the surprise attack of Pearl Harbor, so would the Japanese empire. The war lasted 6 bloody years costing approximately 60 million people were killed: men; women; children; the old; the young; military and civilian alike. The war in Europe bitterly ended when the Fà ¼hrer committed suicide by shooting himself in his fortified bunker before the Red Army got to him. However, the war on The Pacific still raged on†¦ On May 7, 1945 the German high command gave the unconditional surrender of all German forces bringing an end to the most deadly conflict the world has seen so far. The war was over for Europe but for the United States was still at war with Japan in the Pacific theater. The Japanese where not going to surrender they would fight, until they died for their emperor. The United States knew the Japanese would not surrender, as a result, on August 6, 1945 the U.S. dropped the most destructive weapon ever know, the atomic bomb, code named â€Å"Little Boy† which leveled the industrious and lively city of Hiroshima leaving nothing but rubble and ash.
